Working with Charities
KiddiVouchers - an ethical company
KiddiVouchers guarantees to donate at least 5% of profits to charities relating to children and childcare. We want to make a real difference to children, parents and childcare providers. If you would like to nominate a charity, please fill in the form at the bottom of this page.
As part of our ethical policy, our administration fees are typically lower than other childcare voucher providers. We are committed to making childcare vouchers accessible to employers of all sizes, with best value rates available to all. Employers can save £1,000s every year by setting up a KiddiVouchers scheme or by switching to KiddiVouchers from another provider. Click here for an employer information pack.
Our donation policy
We work with employers nationwide and our donations reflect the regional distribution of our customers. We often support local charities which have been recommended by clients, helping to encourage local communities.
However, as well as recognising that there are many children in need close to home, we are also aware of the need of children overseas. With this in mind, we have chosen World Vision as our long-term partner for overseas aid and development.
World Vision works across the world with the aim of having a serious and sustainable impact on poverty and its causes. While World Vision works with whole communities, they have a particular focus on being a voice for children. World Vision's work includes responding to emergencies, advocacy for long-term change, and development projects which empower people to leave poverty behind.
We have made a long-term commitment to World Vision to help them plan the funding of development projects. Our donations are mainly being used for the two projects outlined below:
Children's drop-in centre in Cambodia: This project aims to improve the quality of life and the level of education of local children, many of whom are forced to work in dangerous conditions from a young age. The project also aims to raise awareness of children's rights and to reduce child labour. Click here to find out more.
Education in Niger: Niger is a challenging area with extreme national poverty, poor infrastructure and low literacy rates, particularly amongst women. This project aims to make education available to more children, by building schools, supporting teacher training and encouraging communities to recognise the value of education. So far we have donated £13,500 to World Vision. If you would like to help us make a difference, you can donate online by clicking here.
Save the Children UK
Save the Children, well-known for helping children in areas of famine and war, also actively supports children who suffer from poverty in the UK.
We've donated £1,075 so far to support Save the Children's UK activities, helping some of our most vulnerable children to have a voice.
Jenny Paul, Community Fundraising Executive at Save the Children says: "We're hugely grateful that KiddiVouchers are supporting our work here and we thank them for their kind donation. The money raised will go towards our work in the UK, helping children out of poverty."
We welcomed the Highland Council to KiddiVouchers in August 2007 and, in recognition of our growth in Scotland, we donated £1,000 to CHILDREN 1ST. CHILDREN 1ST (the Royal Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children) aims to give every child in Scotland a safe and secure childhood. Their activities include supporting families under stress, protecting children from harm and neglect, helping them recover from abuse and promoting their rights and interests.
We have continued our support of this fantastic Scottish charity, making annual donations which have amounted to £3,250 so far. We now supply numerous public and private sector employers in Scotland, guaranteeing CHILDREN 1ST donations from KiddiVouchers for years to come.
Lou Lanos, National Corporate Account Manager at CHILDREN 1ST, says, "We are delighted that KiddiVouchers has chosen to support CHILDREN 1ST in Scotland. We rely on the generosity of the public and without the support of companies such as KiddiVouchers our services would close within months. The support of KiddiVouchers means that CHILDREN 1ST will be able to reach even more vulnerable and disadvantaged children across Scotland."
BBC Children In Need
Good old Pudsey! Surely one of the UK's best-loved charities, BBC Children In Need does outstanding work helping disadvantaged children to realise their full potential.
Each year, we run a parent satisfaction survey in aid of Children In Need, pledging to donate £1 for every response we receive. Thanks to the parents who use KiddiVouchers, we've donated £8,450 to Children In Need so far.
In each of the last five years, over 99% of respondents have said they would recommend KiddiVouchers. We'd like to thank everyone who responded for all their helpful and positive feedback.
Daycare Trust is the national childcare charity, which works to promote high quality affordable childcare for all. We have found Daycare Trust to be an excellent source of advice for parents, childcare providers and employers. Their informative website contains information about current Government initiatives, as well as a host of interesting facts and figures about the cost of childcare.
KiddiVouchers has been supporting Daycare Trust since 2007, with donations amounting to £1,750.
Acorns Children's Hospice
Acorns is one of the best known children's charities in our local area, with hospices in Worcester, Walsall and Birmingham. Acorns offers practical and emotional support to families facing very difficult cirumstances. We've donated £500 to help their valuable work.
Mike Tague, Acorns' Regional Fundraising Manager said: "We are absolutely delighted that Kiddivouchers has so generously supported Acorns. We rely on fundraising for over 80% of our income. This donation will help us to continue our work supporting 600 life limited children and their families across the West Midlands."
Home-start helps tens of thousands of childcare across the UK, by offering support, friendship and practical assistance in the home environment. Home-start supports families through post-natal illness, bereavement, disability, domestic violence and much more, providing non-judgemental help and aiming to put the fun back into family life.
We're delighted to support Home-start with annual donations, currently amounting to £2,000.
